The Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Okolo, has extended warm and heartfelt congratulations to Governor Peter Mbah following his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Enugu State.

In a statement issued through his Special Adviser on General Media and Publicity, Hon. Tochukwu Chukwu, the Council Chairman described the primary election as a remarkable demonstration of unity, loyalty, and overwhelming confidence in the leadership of Governor Mbah.

Across all 260 wards in Enugu State, party faithful turned out en masse in what has been widely described as a historic and electrifying exercise. In Awgu, the atmosphere took on a carnival-like celebration, as supporters gathered in large numbers to affirm what many have called a well-earned mandate rooted in performance and visible results.

Hon. Okolo attributed this massive show of solidarity to Governor Mbah’s transformative leadership, highlighting his infrastructural strides, people-focused policies, and unwavering commitment to development across every corner of the state.

“This victory is not just political—it is deeply emotional and symbolic. It reflects the trust and belief Ndi Enugu have placed in a leader who has consistently delivered beyond expectations,” Okolo stated.

He further described Governor Mbah as a reference point in good governance, noting that his administration has set a standard that continues to resonate across Nigeria.

“In today’s Nigeria, you cannot speak of good governance without mentioning Governor Peter Mbah. His leadership has become a benchmark, his performance undeniable, and his vision inspiring,” he added.

Looking ahead, the Chairman expressed strong optimism about the future, emphasizing that the governor’s re-election in 2027 is both necessary and inevitable.

“2027 is no longer just an election—it is a movement. Ndi Enugu are united, determined, and ready to return Governor Mbah to the Lion Building to consolidate on the gains already recorded. We cannot wait to make that statement loud and clear,” he declared.
