Anonymous is an international group of anonymous cyber-activists, hence the name.

There is very little data about the organisation, however they have made clear that there is no leader and that all members are treated equally.

Most well-known cyber attacks

The group took on worldwide relevance when the WikiLeaks scandal was exposed.

They declared themselves enemies of all those who denied their support to Julian Assange, however they have also taken down different websites, such as those of the American Music Industry Association (RIAA) and the American Film Association (MPAA).

Anonymous reappeared after three years of inaction following the death of George Floyd, adding to the conviction for murder at the hands of police officers.

The hacker organisation published a video on social media in which they took a stand against the abuse of African-American citizens by the authorities in the United States.
