The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has said only the Ndubuisi Nwobu-led State Executive Committee is recognised as the authentic representative of the party in Anambra State.

This was announced by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, at a media briefing, in Abuja, on Friday.

He said the decision was taken at the 502nd meeting of the party’s NWC on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.

The party spokesman said during the meeting, the NWC resolved among other things, to uphold the decision of the South-East Zonal Working Committee which met on July 3, 2020

Ologbondiyan, who addressed the media alongside the PDP National Vice Chairman, South-East, Chief Austin Omahi explained that the NWC met and reviewed the resolution of the South-East Zone and “consequently, recognised the State Working Committee headed by Sir Ndubuisi Nwobu as the duly elected and recognised Anambra State Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party.”
