THE Anambra State Police Command on Sunday deployed a reinforcement team to Ukwulu community in the Dunukofia Local Government Area of the state following a planned attack on the area by the Eastern Security Network of the Indigenous People of Biafra.
It was gathered that apart from the police reinforcement, officials of the Department of State Service were also in the community to monitor situations.
The operatives of the ESN had allegedly written the community, warning it over what the IPOB security outfit called the community’s flagrant disobedience to sit-at-home orders.
As a consequence, residents of the community woke up on Sunday to a notice pasted on a strategic place of the community, saying they had not been adhering to the sit-at-home protests.
The ESN notice read, “Respect yourself, Ukwulu, about sit-at-home to avoid crying ‘had I known’. We are watching you since, and you people are disobeying us because of dead Nigeria.
“From Monday upwards, disobey us again and have yourself blamed. ESN is coming for you.”
A source said the notice had sent jitters up the spines of residents of the area.

The state Police Command had responded by deploying huge security to the community.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Ikenga Tochukwu, said, “The Commissioner of Police, Encheng Eworo, has deployed police reinforcement team to Ukwulu community, and urges the residents to help the police with credible information aimed at identifying the bad elements among them.
However, attempt to reach IPOB spokesperson, Emma Powerful, for reaction was not successful as he neither picked calls put across to his phone line nor replied a text message sent to him.
