
Again armed men suspected to be fulani herdsmen have reportedly attacked a farm settlement in Uzo-Uwani Local Government of Enugu State killing many in the process.
It was gathered that the herdsmem attacked Obie Aku farm camp on Sunday night killing and injuring so many people.

As at Monday morning villagers were still searching for more victims around the camp said to have located in the bush

Our correspondent also learnt that 8 people from from Umugwuocha Mgboko, umudikwu aloke Nua and Ogwurogwu in Uzo- uwani were seriously injured with machetes cuts.
It could be recalled that Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area, had in the past witnessed series of attack from herdsmen since the Nimbo massacre of April 25, 2016.
Nimbo was invaded, and scores massacred by over 500 armed Fulani herdsmen.
Reacting to the alleged attack, the police spokesman, Daniel Ndukwe said

“Following an information received at Nimbo Police Division in the early hours of today, 26/07/2021, alleging that yet-to-be identified hoodlums attacked some persons in a location at Opanda Village in Nimbo Community of Uzo-Uwani LGA, Police Operatives attached to the Division raced to the Scene and found 3 young men with degrees of machete cuts. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are responding to treatment.
“Meanwhile, the area is calm, whille the Commissioner of Police, CP, Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu, psc, has ordered the conduct of thorough investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident and bring the perpetrators to book. He also calls on residents of the area to remain calm and assist the Police with useful information, please.
