AFCON 2026 Countdown: Nigeria Kicks Off Camp with Egypt Friendly

 

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Egypt in a friendly match ahead of the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations,  report says.

The friendly will hold at the Cairo International Stadium on Sunday, December 14.

Nigeria will open their AFCON 2026 camp four days before the friendly.

Egypt will participate in a four-nation tournament in Dubai next month as part of their preparations for the AFCON.

Uzbekistan, Iran and Cape Verde are the other countries that will also participate in the tournament (Dubai International Championship).

The Super Eagles will face Uganda, Tunisia and Tanzania in Group C at the AFCON.

Egypt are drawn in Group B with South Africa, Angola, and Zimbabwe.
