ADC Member Warns Obi and Atiku Supporters Against Internal Conflict

A member of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Fabiyi Oladimeji, has said that there is no reason for the supporters of Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar to attack each other.

Speaking during an interview on ‘Prime Time’, a programme on Arise Television on Wednesday, Oladimeji said they all have a common goal.

He said that since Peter Obi joined the ADC, it has not been about the unity of the party and coalition, but a sustained attack on Atiku, a member of the same opposition party.

“Nigeria is not governed by poetry but power. And power is not usually to those who shout justice the loudest. It is secured by those who understand the dynamics.

“We have two principalities in the ADC. Atiku Abubakar is a principality in his own while Peter Obi is one too. We also have the likes of Nasir El-Rufai and that of Rotimi Amaechi.

“We have seen this before. All these are not new. What I want to tell Nigerians is that they should keep calm. Something is going to work out and that thing is the vehicle that is going to carry everyone along and that is the ADC.

“Today, ADC is being managed and driven by an experienced gentleman, David Mark. You can’t take it away from him. And the vision is very clear.

“The supporters of Peter Obi and those of Atiku that are making noise have the right to do so because politics is about interest. And I’m happy that Atiku came out boldly and said, no, you don’t do this.

“There is no reason whatsoever for the ‘Obidients’ and the ‘Atikulates’ to attack each other because they belong to the same coalition and are fighting the same goal,” Oladimeji said.
