Actress Patience Ozokwo Fires Back at Widow’s Accusations of taking her land because she has no son, Calls It Blackmail and Fraud

Patience Ozokwo has responded to claims she took a sick and old widow’s land following the de@th of her husband, because she has no son.

A mother named Ngozi Okonkwo Ike and her daughter Ebere Okonkwo Ike, from Amechi Idodo in Nkanu East L.G.A of Enugu State, granted multiple interviews with several videos going viral.

In the videos, Ebere said Patience Ozokwo should be held responsible if anything happens to her mother. She further claimed that Patience Ozokwo took the only land their late father left for them because her mother has two daughters and no son.

She added that her father’s kinsman whom her mother begged to help them look after the land went behind them to sell the land to Patience Ozokwo.

She said they only discovered this when her mother wanted to get treatment for her leg and found out that they could not sell the land.

The videos circulating show the woman standing on crutches and her leg turning black from the ailment.

Patience has now reacted with her side of the story. She said she bought the land in 2010 and recently discovered that the same people who sold the land to her are trying to take it from her.

She brought the middleman who brokered the sale of the land and got him to speak.

In a video shared by Patience Ozokwo, the middleman said the widow’s late husband was his kinsman, and after he died, the widow approached him, begging for help to sell the land so she could get medical treatment for her leg and also bury her late husband.

He said that when he could not get a willing buyer, he called Patience Ozokwo, who was abroad at the time, and asked if she was interested in buying land and the widow willingly sold to the actress, with him as the middleman.

Patience said what the widow and her daughter are doing is “blackmail, fraud, with malicious intent”. She then asked them to meet her in court.
