Abuja farmer hacked to death after challenging herders for allowing their cows wander into his cassava farm

A farmer, identified as Baba Yakubu, has been hacked to de@th by suspected herders while working on his farm in Mai Kwari village in the Kwali Area Council of the FCT last Thursday.

 

 

 

A relative of the deceased, Danjuma Ishaku, who confirmed the sad incident, said trouble started when some herders moved their animals into a cassava farm, and the deceased rushed to question one of them for allowing cows into his farm. He said one of the cows was then struck by the farmer using his cutlass after the herders disregarded him, and this led to one of the herders pulling out a cutlass and stabbing the farmer.Nearby concert tickets

 

 

 

 

One of the deceased’s sons escaped to report the incident. The deceased was rushed to Kwaita Clinic, where he was confirmed de@d.

 

 

 

The police were alerted, and an investigation into the incident has commenced.
