With Hearts Heavy Yet Hopeful, the Community Gathers to Celebrate the Life of a Great Son, Father, and Leader — Late Chief Urama Eze David

Agu Ego Umuokpu, Enugu State – In a solemn but celebratory atmosphere grounded in faith and gratitude, the family and community of Late Chief Urama Eze David (Nnanyelugo) have announced the details of his final rites. Chief Urama, a respected pillar of the Agu Ego umuopu  community in Igboeze North LGA, is remembered as a man of unwavering integrity, deep compassion, and spiritual strength.

With total submission to the will of God, the Urama Eze family invites friends, relatives, and well-wishers to join in honoring a man whose legacy of wisdom, leadership, and love will endure beyond his earthly days.

Funeral Programme:

  • Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 4:00 PM:
    Service of Songs and Christian Wake will be held at his residence in Agu Ego .umuopu An evening of sacred hymns, prayers, and reflections will mark the beginning of his final journey.
  • Friday, October 31, 2025:
    The body will depart Shannahan Morgue, Nsukka, for lying in state at his family compound, where loved ones will pay their last respects.

    • 9:00 AM: Funeral Mass at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Agu Ego umuopu
    • 12:00 PM: Interment follows immediately after the service, with refreshments and condolence visits continuing at the same venue.
  • Sunday, November 2, 2025:
    A Thanksgiving Service will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church to celebrate Chief Urama’s life and his transition into eternal peace.

Late Chief Urama Eze David, fondly known as Nnanyelugo, lived a life that embodied the virtues of faith, family, and fortitude. His absence leaves a void that echoes deeply through the hearts of many, yet his memory remains a guiding light for generations to come.

As the community prepares to lay him to rest, prayers rise in unity: May his gentle soul find eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord.
