95% of Ministers during Buhari’s govt should be in jail— APC chieftain, Alwan Hassan

A chieftain in the All Progressive Congress APC, Alwan Hassan, says if justice is really to be done in Nigeria, 95% of the Ministers who served under late Muhammadu Buhari’s government should be in jail by now.

While speaking on Channels TV on Tuesday night, December 16, Hassan said the Ministers under Buhari carried out their duties without any supervision for the eight years the President was in office. Hassan said there was corruption under the Buhari administration. He said this against the backdrop of the recent arrest and investigation of former Ministers Abubakar Malami and Chris Ngige who served as Ministers of Justice and Ministers of Labour under the Buhari government.

In his words

‘’If justice should be done, 95% of the Ministers under Buhari should be in jail by now. There has never been a time the Ministers got free hands without any form of supervision like Buhari’s eight years. You have heard what people are saying from Malami and others that the former President late President Buhari said to them that everyone should hold its document because there will come a day they will be asked to explain themselves. He told them, maybe because he has seen what they were doing…95% of the people that served under Buhari hould be in jail today”

When asked if he was inferring that there was corruption under the Buhari government, Hasan said

‘’Absolutely. If we open the books, 95% of those that have served and got there budgets should be in jail by now.”
