Enugu is rewriting the future of technology in Nigeria — one young innovator at a time

Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, and through the strategic efforts of the Enugu SME Center and the Office of Digital Economy, Enugu is fast becoming a regional tech powerhouse.

With strong collaboration from the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation, and the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, the state is delivering results that matter.

– 14,000+ youths have already enrolled in the 3MTT (3 Million Technical Talent) programme, with over 1,700 trained in AI, cybersecurity, and software engineering.

– A Digital Innovation Multi- Sectoral Hub is underway — featuring startup co-working zones, and dedicated training hubs to upskill the next tech generation.

– The Enugu Campus Hackathon is energizing student-led innovation, empowering youth to solve real challenges with cutting-edge ideas.

– Startups from the Southeast are now pitching at global platforms like GITEX Supernova, with support from state institutions to tackle issues in security, healthcare, and agriculture.

This isn’t just policy — it’s implementation. Enugu is building a future where talent meets opportunity, infrastructure enables creativity, and innovation becomes the engine of growth.

*The future belongs to those who innovate — and Enugu is ready.*
