3 TIPS FOR DEALING WITH IN-LAWS

Marriage is beautiful; new home, in-laws, children, and every good thing that comes with being married but it’s not easy to balance your needs with the needs of others.

To have a good relationship with your in-laws; do the following.
Understand your spouse.

Never put your spouse in a situation where he or she has to choose between you and his family. Try to understand the bond your spouse has with his family and flow with it until you figure out how to handle what makes you uncomfortable.

Set Boundaries
It could be, no visitors will stay for more than a week, no coming to our house for a holiday. Working as a team, set your family values, then communicate your values to your in-laws. If you don’t want in-laws dropping, tell them to call before showing up at your doorstep.

Be Kind
Treat your in-laws like you would treat your own family.

Let us know if there are other ways to handle in-laws to avoid quarrels.

Ladies, your man’s family is your family too.
