A 29-year old man has been shot d3ad by his friend following a land dispute in Okitipupa Local Government area of Ondo State.

 

 

 

It was gathered that the tragic incident occurred in Ayede community

 

 

 

 

The victim, identified as Daniel Olorunyomi, was reportedly attacked and shot during a confrontation linked to the disagreement.

 

 

 

 

According to Ondo newspaper, a eyewitness said the suspect approached the deceased while he was going about his normal activities.

 

 

 

The quarrel escalated, prompting the suspect to pull out a gun and shoot Olorunyomi at close range before fleeing.

 

 

 

Residents rushed to the scene after hearing the gunshot and found the victim lying in a pool of blood.

 

 

 

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was confirmed d3ad due to the severe gunshot wound.

 

 

 

His body has been deposited in the mortuary.

 

 

 

The k!lling has sparked protests in the community, with residents demanding the suspect’s arrest and describing the deceased as peaceful and hardworking.

 

 

 

Security have begun investigating the incident.
