Police in Mahikeng, South Africa are investigating a shocking murder case after a 25-year-old man k!lled his mother with a shovel.

 

 

The incident happened at their family home on Sunday afternoon, October 5, 2025.

 

 

It was gathered that the man attacked his 48-year-old mother with a garden shovel.

 

 

According to witnesses, the attack was very violent and continued even after the woman had d!ed.

 

 

A neighbor who heard the commotion rushed to the scene and found the man still attacking his mother’s body.

 

 

In an attempt to stop the attack, the neighbor shot the man, k!lling him instantly.

 

 

Police arrived at the scene shortly after and found both bodies.

 

 

They have opened a murder investigation into the mother’s death.

 

 

The neighbor who shot the suspect has been taken in for questioning.
