18 people declared wanted by police over Ebonyi communal clash

18 people have been declared wanted by the police following the communal clashes between Effium and Ezza communities of Ebonyi state.

The communal clash was triggered by a leadership tussle over a popular motor park in the area.

All those declared wanted reportedly come from Effium and they are wanted on charges that include murder, arson, unlawful possession of firearm and ammunitions, attempt to commit felony including cultism.

The state police spokesperson, DSP Loveth Odah said in a statement; 

“The wanted persons are all indigenes of EffiumEzza-Effium Community in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi state.

“Handsome reward awaits any person with useful information that can lead to arrest of the suspects.”
