“WE ONLY COMPLEMENT THE EFFORTS OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT IN DEVELOPMENT”, SAYS EKWEREMADU

The Former Deputy president of the Senate, sen. Ike Ekweremadu has said that they work to complement the efforts of the Enugu state Government, Under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

He made the statement while Addressing the public at an inspectional visit at Community Secondary school, Ogbaku in Awgu local government area, of Enugu state.

The Senator alongside the Deputy Minority leader, house of Representatives Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu as well as, Member representing Ezeagu and Udi Federal Constituency, Hon. Dennis Amadi Oguerinwa, had taken to a tour of the Educational development projects around Awgu local government area of Enugu state.

Along side the classroom block attracted by the representatives, is a fully equipped and functional ICT laboratory, done by the National Communication Commission.

In a speech of Appreciation, the principal of the school, Comrade Igweozo Ignatius, had appreciated the efforts of the Senator and the representatives towards ensuring qualitative education for every Child, he also made several request ranging from a link road into the school to Electricity to aid in the efficient use of the ICT laboratory.

Reminiscing over his childhood, Okechukwu stated that he understands the essence of studying in a conducive environment with necessary instructional materials such as computer sets, as such they will continue to ensure that they provide these for the growing generation.

Sen. Ekweremadu in his reply, said that they are grassroot politicians, whom derive joy and motivation from the happiness of their people. He said that this is one of the complimentary gesture to the efforts of the Enugu state government in fostering quality and standard Education in the state.

GOVERNMENT TECHNICAL COLLEGE AND COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL AMOLI

Amoli Community of Awgu local government area of Enugu state, has benefitted from the ongoing massive rehabilitation of the Educational sector as two educational institutions located in their community were renovated, furnished and adequately equipped.

UGAMATV had earlier reported that the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) had inspected a school project at Government technical college Amoli, which was attracted by Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu.

A Classroom and Laboratory block, Borehole project, Principal’s and administrative block, two Generator sets, were provided under this project.

Okechukwu said that this project was born out of the desire to empower youths not just educationally but technically too. This will aid in taking back the youths to creativity, innovation and originality, As such, making entrepreneurs, problem solver and Job Creators.

The Former ECOWAS parliament Speaker, had enjoined the Amoli Indigenes to appreciate Okechukwu, stating that he is always keen on developing their community, “indeed he is a worthy son and representative”, he said.

The Senator, as an Education activist, also attracted major renovations and new classroom buildings at Amoli Community Primary school, which was also inspected.

COMMUNITY SECONDARY SCHOOL ISU-AWA

The Community Secondary School, Isu-Awa, also partook in the Educational development, as classroom structures as well as access roads were built for them.

Okechukwu had intimated us that the school was in a deplorable state during an initial visit, which prompted the building and furnishing of classroom blocks to help students in conducive learning.

The principal, Agbala Ugochukwu also appreciated them for all their investments in the Educational growth of their people, recalling the, WAEC sponsoring, the sharing of Past question and Answers to exam classes, including the training of Science teachers, all in a bid to boost knowledge and learning in their area.

Sen. Ekweremadu in conclusion, appreciated the quality Representation of Hon. Okechukwu, stating that he is always proud of him, he also adviced the beneficiaries to ensure adequate maintenance and safety of the projects.
