Ukraine has dismissed claims by Iran that it destroyed a depot in the United Arab Emirates allegedly housing Ukrainian anti-drone systems.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Georgiy Tykhy described the allegation as false, stressing that Ukraine officially rejects the statement and accusing Tehran of spreading disinformation.
Iran’s military command, Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, had earlier claimed it struck a facility in Dubai used to support U.S. forces, including equipment linked to Ukrainian anti-drone operations.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a surprise visit to Gulf countries, confirmed new defence cooperation agreements with the UAE. Similar deals were also announced with Qatar and Saudi Arabia, focusing on air defence collaboration.
Ukraine has been expanding its role in the region by deploying anti-drone experts, drawing from its experience countering Iranian-made drones used by Russia.
The developments come amid ongoing tensions, as Iran continues to launch strikes targeting Israel and U.S. interests in the Gulf. Tehran has repeatedly accused Gulf states of allowing American forces to operate from their territory—claims those countries have consistently denied.
