ENUGU COMMUNITY Stands still as Onuko’s Family Bid farewell to their Mother, Late Amoge OnukO

The remains of late Mrs. Amoge Felicia Onuko, mother of Sir Chidi Onuko, has been laid to rest at her husband’s compound in Ogbozinne Autonomous community, Akpugo Nkanu West local government area of Enugu state.

At the funeral ceremony were senator representing East Senatorial District, Senator Kelvin Chukwu, and member representing Nkanu East/west federal constituency, Hon. Nnolim Nnaji, CEO Linchuks Group, High Chief, Linus Ikwuka (Ikenga Nnaya), CEO Wellington Blue Hotels, Chief Chukwudi Onuora among other profile personalities.

Chief Onuko is a philanthropist and a business mogul who have endeared himself to many at home and beyond, through human and community development projects.

Eulogising their mother, her eldest son, Peter Onuko, described her as unequalled, stating that their bond was as firm as a couples’.

He said she was a warm and friendly woman, who freely lavished compliments on her friends and sacrificed the most.

Similarly, the first daughter of the deceased, Theresa Nnam, said that the late Amoge was an epitome of love and wisdom, whose sacrifice and gentle soul will be forever cherished by the family.

Affirming her qualities, Sunday Onuko, her son, praised his mother, insisting that she was a mother like no other, and will be missed in all aspects.

In a condolence message, the CEO Wellington Blue Hotels, Enugu, Simon Ndi Eke,  Ebubechukwuzo, Chief Chukwudi Onuora described the death as a painful lost to the family and the entire people of Akpugo, noting that she lived a fulfiled life.

Also, Mr. Nnamdi Adabo, noted that losing a parent no matter the age is a painful experience and prayed God to give them the family to bear the loss.

In the same vein,  Chief Eminike Dominic, popularly known as Alhaji Boma, described Sir Onuka as a jolly good fellow and a force to reckon, consoling the family to find in God.

Also,  Mr. Abiola Timothy from Ibadan while describing Chief Chidi as a man with a large heart, urged the family to find solace in God.

Similarly, Iheanacho Festus from Lagos Island, noted that Chief Onuko is a selfless man who always goes all out for others not minding not minding the tribe, while advising the family to continue to live in love and compassion their late mother showered on them.

Mr. Ik from Oshodi said Chief Chidi is a business associate who is kind hearted, urging the family to sustain the good legacies of their mother.

In a remark, the business expert, Chairman and Chief Executive Onuco Group of Companies,  Sir Chidi Onuko, (Aha Eji Eje Mba N’ Akpugo), while extolling her countless sterling qualities, highlighted how her sense of creativity and sacrifice, saved his life and business.

Sir Onuko also used the opportunity to appreciate, friends who came from far and near to sympathize with him and the family.

Until her death, Late Amoge was a devout Christian and business woman. She is survived by five children, fourteen grandchildren, and a great grandchildren. She died at the age of 84.

Other dignitaries at the event were members of Imperial Club, 042 Connect, China Old Boys, Aku ro Uno and many other notable personalities.
