Rapper DDG Blasts Western Media: ‘Nigeria Not as Dangerous as the US’

American rapper Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., popularly known as DDG, has described Western media propaganda on Nigeria as “fake”.

The hip-hop star, who is currently holidaying in Lagos, said contrary to Western propaganda, Nigeria is “nowhere near” as dangerous as the United States.

He urged foreigners to visit Nigeria to see things for themselves.

Speaking in a video broadcast, DDG said, “I honestly think America is the most dangerous country. I don’t think Nigeria is as dangerous as America – nowhere near.

“No doubt, there is insecurity in Nigeria. But gun violence and gangsterism is not common in Nigeria as in America. So, if anybody is thinking about coming to Nigeria, pull up.”

DDG also revealed that he was told that Nigerian foods were unhealthy and was advised to always boil water before drinking in Nigeria.

He said that contrary to the propaganda against Nigerian foods, he found them very healthy, especially jollof.
