Political pressure, not policy, behind wave of PDP members joining APC, claims Ologunagba

The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Debo Ologunagba, has revealed the reason behind party members defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Speaking on Thursday during ‘Politics Today’, a programme on Channels Television, Ologunagba said 80 per cent to 90 per cent of those so-called defections are not based on principles or policies.

He said the defections are driven by coercion, fear, and intimidation from the APC government.

“80% to 90% of those so-called defections are not based on principles or policies. The reality is that facts are facts. The alternative fact cannot be the reality.

“Look at Osun State. The APC keep saying join us or we will stress you. This intimidation is happening across the federation in different states,” he said.
