POLICEMEN UNDER PROBE FOR RAPE OF MINOR


POLICE  in Yobe State are probing the alleged rape by a mobile police sergeant of an eight-year-old girl in Fika Local Government Area of the state.

The act was alleged to have been committed on May 28 at the local government secretariat.

The suspect is identified as serving with Mopol 21  Abuja on a special assignment in Yobe.

Police spokesman Dungus Abdulkarim said the matter was under investigation at the State Criminal investigation  Department.

He also promised to provide details of the outcome of the investigation
