Police arraigns 22 suspects over killing of 13 wedding guests

The Plateau State Police command will today July 10 arraign 22 suspects arrested in connection with the June 21, 2025 mob action in Mangun community of Mangu local government area of the State, before the state High court.

 

 

 

It will be recalled that a 31-member group of wedding guests travelling from Basawa community in Zaria, Kaduna State, en route to Qua’an Pan LGA of Plateau State, was attcacked by a mob in Mangun, leading to the de@th of 13 of the travellers on June 21.

 

 

 

 

 

The victims reportedly lost their way and stopped to ask for directions in Mangun village when they were attacked by the mob, which led to the death of 13 people, including women and children.

 

 

 

In a statement released, the state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Alfred Alabo, said the suspects will be arraigned before the state Highcourt.
