
The Enugu State house of Assembly’s Committee on works headed by the Rt. Hon. Chima E. Obieze, has taken to the fulfillment of their civil obligations as they tour all the constructional sites of every project done for and by Enugu state government in a bid to monitor the progress of the work done therein.
UGAMATV had earlier reported an announcement put out to the media by the Chairman of the committee, Obieze, calling on the general public, contractors as well as site Engineers to avail themselves as the Cavalry tours the sites.

The tour however, took to Nsukka part of Enugu, inspecting Road construction and refurbishment projects as well as other developmental Infrastructures.
“Anyone from Nsukka who says this administration is not working is either blind or an enemy of progress”
These were the words of the Chairman House Committee on works & Infrastructure, Housing & Urban Development, Rt. Hon. Chima Obieze while concluding the tour in Nsukka local Government.
The Committee had visited different ongoing & completed project sites in the Local Govt.

Addressing newsmen after the tour the Chairman expressed satisfaction at the level of works done & noted that the areas the Committee faulted will be followed up to ensure the right things are done.

He further directed the Secretary of the Committee, Mrs Ngozi Egbo to write to the ministry of works and office of the Commissioner for finance to withhold payment of any Contractor who has any question(s) to answer. Pending “when we are satisfied with their jobs”.
He said the Committee will tour both Igboeze North & South Local Governments tomorrow Thursday 8th October 2020.
