THE order of events for the burial of late Enugu commissioner for transport, Hon. Mathias Ekweremadu is out. UGAMATV reports.

The Commisioner had slumped on Thursday, 2nd February 2021, Amid a budget defence session at Enugu state house of Assembly. He was later confirmed dead the same day at Niger foundation hospital, Enugu.

We had earlier reported that the former deputy president of the Senate, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu had disclosed the date of the burial of his younger brother, as, 5th March, 2021.

He disclosed this during a Commiseration visit by the Executive Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, in his Enugu residence.

Below is the order of events for the burial of late Mathias Ekweremadu:

Tuesday, 2nd March – Service of Songs at the Good Shepherd, Independence Layout Enugu. Time: 5-7pm

Wednesday, 3rd March – Valedictory Session at the Enugu State House of   Assembly. Time: 10am-12noon

Wednesday, 3rd March – Valedictory Session at the EXCO Chamber, Government House, Enugu. Time: 1pm-3pm

Thursday, 4th March – Commendation Service at the Good Shepherd, Independence Layout, Enugu. Time: 9am-11am

Thursday, 4th March – Service of Songs at his residence, Mpu. Time: 5pm-7pm

Friday, 5th March – Lying-in-state at Aninri Local Government Council Secretariat, Ndeaboh. Time: 9am-10am

Friday, 5th March – Church Service at Community Primary School, Mpu. Time: 12noon-2pm. Interment follows immediately after the church service

Sunday, 7th March – Thanksgiving Service. Time: 9am-11am
