A video of Onisa of Esin Ele, evoking the gods of their land to hunt down the kidnappers of school children and teachers who were abducted in Oyo and ensure the safe return of the captives, has been shared online.

Amid mounting anxiety over the fate of dozens of school children and teachers abducted in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, a local community has turned to traditional spiritual intervention to secure the victims’ release.

In a video released by The Cable on Tuesday, May 19, a traditional priest identified as Muraina Mutairo, the Onisa of Esin Ele, was seen performing rituals to invoke local deities. The Priest called upon spiritual forces to hunt down the kidnappers and ensure the safe return of the captives.
