Official Naira Strengthens Against US Dollar Amid Rising Foreign Reserves

The Naira appreciated against the United States dollar at the official market on Monday to begin the week on a bullish trend.

The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the Naira strengthened on Monday to N1,453.84 against the dollar, up from N1,456.72 traded at the close of work last week on Friday.

This means that the Naira firmed up by N2.88 against the dollar on Monday when compared to last weekend.

Meanwhile at the black market, the Naira remained flat at N1,465 per dollar on Monday.

The development comes as the country’s foreign reserves rose to $44.26 billion as of November 21st, 2025, according to the apex bank data.

Recall that the Naira recorded more losses than gains last week.
