Nigerian Army Rescues Kidnapped Man in Taraba Hours After Abduction

Troops deployed in Taraba State have successfully rescued a kidnapped man in Lau Local Government Area, the Nigerian Army has confirmed.

 

 

 

The victim, identified as Alhaji Shuaibu, 40, a Fulani resident of Yelwata Community in Ardo-Kola LGA, was abducted around 0905 hours on 11 December 2025 near Yaja village.

 

The troops, acting on credible human intelligence, swiftly pursued the kidnappers and rescued the victim unharmed at about 1100 hours the same day.

 

The security situation in the area remains calm, and vigilance and alertness have been maintained to prevent further incidents.
