Niger Delta Will Back Tinubu in 2027 – Amnesty Programme Boss

The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Otuaro, has declared the Niger Delta’s unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, pledging that the region will stand solidly behind his re-election bid.

Speaking at the weekend during the closing ceremony of the Stream 1, Batch 3 Strategic Leadership, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Mediation Training organised by the PAP in collaboration with the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja, Otuaro lauded the president’s commitment to sustaining peace and boosting socio-economic growth in the oil-rich region through the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“As Niger Delta people, we will support only President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. Let us not allow anybody to deceive us that come 2027 there is a new and better agenda. That is not true, and we are wise enough to know,” he said.

Otuaro praised Tinubu’s “genuine intentions” over the past two years, citing increased investments in security, infrastructure, human capital development, and economic expansion. He stressed that a second term would consolidate the gains already achieved.

“Anywhere the President goes, we go. That will be our mandate because the Niger Delta is our agenda,” he declared.

The PAP boss also warned against “political manipulators” attempting to divide the region ahead of the 2027 campaign season, urging stakeholders to focus on policies that benefit the Niger Delta and to avoid distractions.

Otuaro reaffirmed the PAP’s commitment to working closely with the federal government to sustain peace and development, insisting that unity behind President Tinubu was in the region’s best interest.
