The Deputy Minority Leader and member representing Aninri, Awgu and Oji-River Federal constituency on Friday the 10th of December revealed that his philanthropy to school children in his constituency and beyond is simply an effort to compliment what Governor Ugwuanyi was doing in Enugu State.

UGAMATV reports that he made this known during an event sponsored by the Toby Okechukwu foundation where he paid WAEC fees of sixty secondary schools for over six hundred students in his constituency.

Addressing students, stakeholders in the educational sector and others present, he thanked Ugwuanyi for his peculiar interest in education, stating that “at a point in time when we did this about four years back, he was there and participated in all the things we did at St. Vincent that period and has always supported this foundation.

Stating an example of how the Governor’s interest in the educational sector has aided not just students and parents but also teachers, he revealing that “He was also very instrumental when we complained to him about one of our teachers who was doing so well at St. Vincent and when we told him that the man has been teaching for close to ten years without employment, he gave him an automatic employment.
