
NBA legend Michael Jordan and his brand will donate $100 million over the next decade to organizations devoted to racial justice and improving education access, Jordan Brand announced Friday.

The 57-year-old former Chicago Bulls star issued a statement Saturday expressing his anguish following the death of George Floyd, the black man killed by a white Minneapolis police officer last month.
“I stand with those who are calling out the ingrained racism and violence toward people of color in our country,” Jordan said in his statement. “We have had enough.”
Friday’s statement from Jordan Brand added, “Until the ingrained racism that allows our country’s institutions to fail is completely eradicated, we will remain committed to protecting and improving the lives of Black people.”
