Jubilation in Awgu Local Government Area as PDP Celebrates Governor Mbah’s Achievements

The atmosphere was electric in Awgu Local Government Area as members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gathered for their monthly meeting, celebrating the impressive achievements of Governor Peter Mbah. Party faithful filled the venue with songs and dance, expressing their support for the governor and Hon. Uche Okolo, the Chairman of Awgu Local Government.

The meeting commenced with an opening prayer led by Stiven Nweke, followed by the traditional breaking of kola nut performed by Rt. Hon. Alex Ogbonnia, symbolizing unity and hospitality.

Hon. Kenechukwu Okolo, Chairman of PDP Awgu Local Government, welcomed stakeholders and party members, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support. He acknowledged the contributions of the council chairman and the state PDP chairman, Dr. Martin Chukwunwaike, along with other notable stakeholders from Awgu.

Ozo Ejike Ilo, the PDP Zonal Youth Leader, commended the enthusiastic turnout of Awgu PDP supporters. He praised the local government council’s leadership for its commendable performance, urging others to emulate their example.

In his address, Hon. Uche Okolo, Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government, expressed deep appreciation for Governor Mbah’s exemplary leadership. He noted that the governor has exceeded expectations in infrastructural development, which he described as “second to none.” Okolo emphasized the community’s eagerness to support Mbah in future elections, stating, “Awgu is happy with what Mbah is doing and has vowed to support him come rain, come shine.” He concluded by thanking the people of Awgu for their overwhelming support, highlighting that Mbah’s achievements are attracting supporters from across the state.

The meeting was attended by several notable stakeholders, including Hon. Okwudiri Nwankwo, a member of the Enugu State House of Assembly; Dr. Stanley Ezediuto, Deputy Chairman of Awgu LGA; Rt. Hon. Nelson Uduji, Secretary General of Awgu LGA; and Hon. Rose Udeh, Speaker of the Awgu LGA Legislative Council. Other attendees included Hon. Raphy Onovo, SSA to Senator Osita Ngwu; Hon. Emeka Udeh, SSA to Governor Mbah on Youth Mobilization; and various supervisory councilors, local government appointees, and PDP ward chairmen.

The gathering underscored the unity and commitment of the PDP in Awgu Local Government Area as they rally behind Governor Mbah’s vision for continued development in Enugu State.
