Italian Fashion Legend Giorgio Armani Dies at 91

Italian fashion icon Giorgio Armani has passed away at the age of 91, marking the end of an era in global fashion.

Widely regarded as the embodiment of Italian elegance, Armani revolutionized the industry with his sleek, minimalist tailoring that redefined modern style.

Born in 1934 in Piacenza, northern Italy, he began his career in window dressing before moving into fashion design in the 1960s. Over the decades, he built one of the world’s most powerful luxury empires, expanding beyond clothing into accessories, fragrances, cosmetics, interior design, sports sponsorships, and even a chain of exclusive hotels.

In a statement on the official Armani Instagram page, the brand revealed that the designer remained deeply engaged with his work until his final days. “He was indefatigable to the end,” the tribute read.

Armani’s passing leaves an indelible void in the fashion world. His disciplined vision, understated sophistication, and global influence not only defined Italian luxury but also reshaped the very language of modern fashion.
