Iran warns that Hotels housing U.S. soldiers will be targeted

Iran’s military has warned that hotels accommodating U.S. soldiers across the region could become targets amid its ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel.

Armed forces spokesman. Abolfazl Shekarchi said any location hosting American forces would be considered a legitimate target.

“When all the Americans go into a hotel, then from our perspective that hotel becomes American,” he told state television. “Should we stand by and allow the Americans to strike us? When we respond, we will naturally target wherever they are.”

The warning follows the escalation of conflict that began on February 28, when the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran, triggering a wider regional war. Iran has since retaliated with drone and missile attacks on Israel and U.S. interests across the Middle East.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, accused U.S. forces of using civilians in Gulf countries as “human shields.”

“From the outset of this war, U.S. soldiers fled military bases in GCC countries to hide in hotels and offices,” he said in a post on X, urging hotels in the region to deny them accommodation.

According to Iran’s Fars news agency, the country has issued “firm warnings” to hotels, particularly in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. It also claimed that U.S. forces have been identified using similar locations in Syria, Lebanon, and Djibouti.

Iran has repeatedly accused neighboring countries of allowing U.S. forces to launch attacks from their territory. However, Gulf states have denied the claims, insisting they have not permitted their land or airspace to be used for military action against Iran.
