Ikpeazu sacks Abia agencies’ managers

The Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has sacked two major state functionaries.

They are Mr Jerry Awa, Abia State Environmental Protection Agency, ASEPA manager for Ikwuano LGA and Engr Uzoma Asiegbu, Deputy General Manager, Abia State Public Utilities Management Agency, APUMA.

No reasons were given as contained in a special government announcement authored by Barr Chris Ezem, the Secretary to the State Government.

The Governor, therefore, directed the General Manager of ASEPA, Mr Eze Okwulehie, to immediately take charge of the Ikwuano area, to ensure immediate evacuation of refuse within the area as well as engage street sweepers to clear grasses and dispose of dirt along Aba Road through Ceramics area to Old Umuahia.
