An Akwa Ibom man, Ifioque, has said he won’t date a lady who doesn’t have her own apartment, health insurance and never lived outside her hometown.

 

Ifioque, who stated this in a Facebook post on Monday added that a lady he will date must have big, supple ass.

 

According to him, he doesn’t have the strength to deal with someone who cannot stay over at his place without telling 9 family members two weeks in advance.

 

“I’m in my 30s now, and my dating priorities have changed,” he wrote.

 

1. I can’t date a lady who doesn’t have health insurance, even if it’s those cheap ones for N6k a month.

 

Problems don’t send a notice before they show up. Anything can happen, and if she suddenly needs urgent medical help when we’re both down on money, I want to be sure we are not badly affected (I have mine).

 

Love is sweet but a brutal medical emergency can really mess things up.

 

2. I can’t date a lady who doesn’t have her own apartment. This is NOT because I want to live there (in 2016, my older brother warned me NEVER to frequent a woman’s apartment, even if she’s my girlfriend, and I still live by it

 

It’s just that without your own place, you don’t have full autonomy over your life.

 

You still have a curfew and you must be back before then, else the gate is locked and you have to stand outside, knocking and dialing people’s numbers by 11 PM.

 

We cannot go to parties and return late because you need to get back home.

 

You cannot stay over at my place without telling 9 family members two weeks in advance.

 

Omo, I don’t have that kind of strength.

 

3. I can’t date a lady who has never lived outside her hometown (the community she’s from)

 

You can be educated, smart and well-spoken, but if you’ve spent your whole life in one spot, the world has not yet opened up in your eyes.

 

This will show in your choices, how you handle money, the kind of opportunities you notice, even the kind of future you see for yourself.

 

Your ambitions would typically be small: small Camry, build a small house to live, finish 2 self-con for tenants, have a small farm land around the house for palm oil

 

Exposure can fix this small-mindedness.

 

After a certain age, you’re not just dating a person. You’re dating their mindset, their readiness and their ambition.
