The Honourable member representing Nnewi North Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Nonso Okafor (Smart) yesterday, 22nd May, 2020 handed over the keys to a 3-bedroom bungalow apartment he built and furnished to three childless widows in Okpuno, Nnewichi, Nnewi.

According to Hon. Okafor; he learned about the widow’s situation from a friend early March this year and decided to make it a point of duty to make sure that the women( Mrs Antonia Obi, Mrs Gladys Obi and Mrs Bridget Obi) have a place to call home. ‘Since they don’t have any child to do this for them, I have volunteered to be there child and take good care of them’ he said.

On his part, the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Uchenna Okafor congratulated his colleague on the wonderful project and advised other House Members to emulate him. According to him, Hon. Nonso Okafor is the first honourable member of the 7th Assembly to complete and commission a constituency project for the year 2020.
