Governor Namadi Tells PDP Lawmakers to start parking out ahead of 2027

Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi has asked the elected National Assembly members under the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to start parking out from office ahead of the 2027 general election.

He stated this during Citizen Engagement Programme (JSGCEP) tagged “Gwamnati da Jamaa” held in Dutse local government, while receiving over 3,502 members of the opposition PDP and the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.

He said there was strong indication that all the positions won by the opposition parties during the 2023 general election would be reclaimed by the ruling party.

According to him, “the All Progressive Congress (APC) is getting more acceptance by people of Jigawa southwestern zone due to our commitment towards human and capital development.

“With what we are witnessing these days in Birnin Kudi, Buji, and today in Dutse all from this zone, all the elected members of the National Assembly from opposition parties should start counting their days in the Red and Green chamber as the people of the constituencies will no longer vote for them again, they will all vote for APC in 2027.”

It could be recalled that the PDP has won seats for South South senatorial zone, members of House of Representatives of Birninkudu/Buji and Dutse/Kiyawa Federal constituencies, as well as Birninkudu state assembly constituency.
