‘Golden Bachelor’ star Mel Owens pays ex-wife $1m to end divorce battle

Golden Bachelor’ star Mel Owens has settled the nearly $1 million he owed his ex-wife, Fabiana Owens, under the terms of their divorce agreement, according to court documents.

The reality TV personality finalised his divorce from Fabiana in December 2024, but tensions resurfaced in late 2025 when she told the court he had not yet paid the money stipulated in the settlement. At the time, she asked that his five-bedroom home be sold if he failed to meet the financial obligation.

In October 2025, a judge ordered Mel to pay $1,024,887 by November 7, warning that he would have to vacate the property immediately if he did not comply.

Although the home was ultimately not sold, Mel reportedly took additional steps to raise the funds. Records show he secured a $1.1 million loan against the property in December. The judgment lien connected to the divorce settlement was later released, indicating the payment had been made.

Sources say the proceeds from the loan were used to satisfy the debt owed to Fabiana, officially resolving the matter.
