Fuel Price Drops: NNPCL and Other Stations Slash Petrol Costs

Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and other filling stations have reduced their premium motor spirit price significantly on Wednesday, days after Dangote Refinery slashed its gantry petrol rate.

A market survey showed that retail outlets of NNPCL in Abuja have adjusted their fuel pump price to N1335 per litre from N1364.

Similarly, NIPCO, AA Rano, and retail outlets in Abuja also cut their prices to N1330 and N1350 per litre from N1350 and N1370, respectively.

This means that NNPCL, NIPCO, and AA Rano adjusted their fuel price downward by N29 and N20 per litre.

Recall that following Dangote Refinery’s gantry petrol rate cut late last month by N25 per litre.

Consequently, some filling stations had adjusted their fuel pump price downward.

Reacting, the President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria had said more filling stations would cut their petrol price as soon as they get fresh stock from the 650,000-barrel-per-day refinery.
