*FUAHSE Holds Groundbreaking Staff Development Workshop, Sets New National Benchmark for Academic Excellence*

In a remarkable stride toward redefining higher education standards in Nigeria, the Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE) has successfully concluded a two-day intensive pre-resumption workshop designed to strengthen institutional readiness and foster a culture of excellence among its academic and non-academic staff ahead of the 2025/2026 academic session.

Held from October 16–17, 2025, the workshop brought together faculty and administrative personnel in an engaging blend of lectures, breakout sessions, and interactive discussions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, effective teaching methods, and a student-centered learning environment.

Speaking to UGAMATV, the university’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. John Emaimo, lauded the success of the workshop and emphasized its transformative impact on the institution’s growth and the overall student experience. He also announced two significant milestones — the Federal Government’s approval to verify an additional ten academic programs and a new connection with TETFUND to support infrastructural development and staff capacity-building initiatives.

“This workshop reaffirms our vision to maintain maximum output standards and institutional excellence. Our staff are the backbone of our success, and their preparedness is the foundation of the quality education we deliver,”
