The Federal Government on Monday promised to provide 20 million digital jobs for Nigerians over the next couple of years.
Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, who made the promise on behalf of the regime, said the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), would ensure that youths in the country benefit.
Osinbajo said this during the inauguration of the “Generation Unlimited” programme, a partnership between UNICEF, state governments and the private sector.

The Vice President who joined the event virtually, said, “Nigeria has one of the world’s largest young populations and it is important to know that our country’s youths are our country’s present and indeed our future; failure to invest in them is simply unimaginable.”
The Vice President added that the regime would partner young people in areas of digital skills development, workforce readiness programmes and youth engagements.
Osinbajo said “Over the next couple of years, we will provide digital employments, entrepreneurship engagements for 20 million young Nigerians.
“This process is significant for our socio-economic development as a nation and also meant provide a ground for future job creation programmes.”
