Enugu state government SME has continued its sensitization programs which is to hold accross the seventeen local government of Enugu state as scheduled earlier by the special advicer to Enugu state Governor on Small and Medium Enterprises Development and investment promotion, Hon. Chilo-Offiah
The Local Government Sensitization Tour which idea was championed by His Excellency Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is geared towards training youths on various Empowerment programs to prepare them for better tomorrow.
The Local Government sensitization program of the SME team led by Hon Arinze Chilo-Offiah on Thursday stormed Udi Local Government Area, to deliver to them their activities, programs and how their people can actively participate, to benefit from the dividends that they came with.
The event, which took place at the Local Government Council’s Secretariat in Udi had in attendance the Chairman of Udi LGA, Hon. Ifeanyi Agu and his team.
The chairman of Udi LGA, Hon. Ifeanyi Agu in his opening remarks, appreciated the Executive Governor of Enugu state,Rt Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for all he has been doing in the state through Enugu SME and declared his readiness to support their initiative.
In a statement the special adviser to the Governor on Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Investment promotion, Hon Arinze Chilo Offiah who outlined the reasons behind their visit stated that the visit is to interact with the youths, women and stakeholders of the Local Government Council, to inform and Educate them on their activities, which other local Government are already benefiting from.
“We have been mandated by our Governor to take the programs down to the grassroot, as part of his rural Development agenda in the state”
“Our programs are vast ranging from fashion and designing, AutoEase,ICT, Furniture, Zero loan, Human capital development, amongst others.”
He posited that the SME center under the leadership of Governor ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, is determined to assist the youths only if they are interested and determined to succeed.
He restated “our program will run in all the seventeen LGA of the state, so as to increase the awareness on the programs and activities of the center for all the indigenes and residents of the state.”
“it would enable them have direct access to us, know us and be able to ask questions that will guide their lines of thought about the programs and activities of the center.” Offiah said.
Speaking about Enugu SME, some of the participants also expressed their happiness over what they saw.
The event which was an interactive session, had in attendance both young and old who were really happy to be enlightened on the various Enugu SME Programs that is made available for them.
