We’ve just concluded Batch 4 of the Enugu Civil Servants Digital Literacy Training Program — a strategic initiative of the Enugu SME Center / Office of Digital Economy, in alignment with His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s inclusive governance vision.
*Impact by the Numbers:*
– 5,000+ civil servants trained
– 10,000+ teachers upskilled
– 600+ participants in Batch 4, including Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) who received inclusive, hands-on training in Microsoft Office tools, cloud-based collaboration, and real-time data systems.
*National & Global Context:*
– Less than 5% of Nigerian civil servants have advanced digital skills
– Over 70% of MDAs still rely on manual processes
– The Federal Government targets 95% digital literacy by 2030
– NITDA aims to train 10 million Nigerians and 69,000 federal staff annually
*Why It Matters:*
Enugu isn’t just participating in Nigeria’s digital transformation — we’re leading it. Through the Enugu SME Center / Office of Digital Economy, we are building an agile, tech-enabled civil service where every citizen — regardless of ability — can contribute meaningfully.
*This is digital inclusion in action.*
*This is smart governance at scale.*
