‘Eagles will do everything to beat Tunisia’

Super Eagles assistant coach, Nabil Trabelsi, believes the three-time African champions “will do everything” to beat Tunisia when they clash in an international friendly at the Jacques Lemmans Arena in Sankt Arena, Austria on Tuesday.

The Eagles defeated the Carthage Eagles 1-0 in the third-place match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

“First of all, I think that the context will be completely different from our last confrontation in Egypt,” Trabelsi, a Tunisian, told Ettachkila.com ahead of the encounter on Tuesday.

“We beat Tunisia in the third-place match at the AFCON.

“It’s a friendly game and both teams will be looking to play a good game with technical and fast football. We know Tunisia very well and we will do everything to win.”

Trabelsi, who is Gernot Rohr’s video analyst, also expressed confidence that the Eagles would qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“I want to play a second World Cup with Nigeria,” Trabelsi added.

“Our goal remains to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar and also match the second round feats achieved in 2014. I will have the opportunity thereafter, to take a step forward and take charge of a good team as a head coach.”

“I am lucky to work with great players from the African continent in a country that breathes football.”
