Daddy Freeze, a veteran Nigerian On Air Personality, OAP, has revealed why he left Alex Ekubo’s service of songs.

 

 

He made the disclosure during Instagram live over the weekend.

 

UGAMATV reports that the late actor, Alex Ekubo’s service of songs was held last week Wednesday in Lagos state, with many prominent figures, including gospel singers, pastors, Nollywood stars, Daddy Freeze and other personalities in attendance.

 

 

Revealing why he left while the ceremony was ongoing, Daddy Freeze in an Instagram video over the weekend, said the singer turned the funeral event into a concert.

 

While questioning Mercy’s understanding about funeral, he asked “Does Mercy Chinwo not have soft music?”

 

“Mercy Chinwo climbed the pulpit and turned the place to a concert. At that point I got up and left. Does Mercy Chinwo not have soft music?

 

“Do you understand what a funeral is? The kind of music that should be played at a funeral is soft music. They should have just played hymns for like two hours, then I would have sat down there and enjoyed it. So at the time she was performing, I just got up and left.”

 

UGAMATV reports that gospel musicians that sang at the ceremony included Mercy Chinwo, Peterson Okopi, Moses Bliss, Ebuka songs, the Laud Urban Choir, among others.
