Customs officer who battled depression and anxiety reportedly commits su!cide in Bauchi

A 44-year-old Nigeria Customs Service officer, Lumi Elisha T. Gwamis, has reportedly committed su!cide in Bauchi State.

 

The incident occurred in Bogoro Local Government Area of the state.

 

Gwamis, reported to be the first son of a former Chairman of Bogoro LGA, was said to have battled depression and anxiety for years.

 

The news has sparked grief among family, colleagues, and residents, with many calling for more awareness on mental health challenges facing young Nigerians.
