Comedian AY Makun raises alarm over rising insecurity in Nigeria

Comedian AY Makun has reacted to the escalating insecurity across the country, describing Nigeria as “a crime scene” while questioning the government’s silence.

Ay’s comments come amid recent attacks involving school kidnappings, killings, and increased bandit activities.

He wrote that bandits now storm churches to kill and abduct worshippers, schoolchildren are being taken from classrooms, and even senior military officers — including a Brigadier General — have been murdered.

AY questioned how the nation reached this point and why meaningful action appears absent, asking whether outsiders will eventually step in to solve what leaders have failed to confront.

He ended by calling for safety, accountability, and concrete action from those in power.
