Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has reaffirmed his resolve to collaborate closely with leaders of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, across all tiers to strengthen the party and establish a formidable opposition force in Bauchi State.

Atiku made this known after receiving a delegation of key ADC stakeholders from Bauchi, led by Alhaji Aminu Ahmed Yapeco, Sarkin Yakin Katagum, who addressed the press on behalf of the group following the meeting.

According to Atiku, the engagement provided an opportunity to review the state of the party in Bauchi and explore ways to reinforce its internal framework.

He explained that discussions focused on identifying weaknesses within the party’s structure and proposing practical steps to enhance unity, effectiveness, and overall performance.

He described the meeting as part of a wider strategy aimed at repositioning the ADC as a viable and credible alternative capable of championing the aspirations of the people of Bauchi State.

“At this meeting, we carefully reviewed existing shortcomings, and I am fully committed to working hand in hand with party leaders at every level to build a strong, responsive, and effective opposition that truly represents the interests of Bauchi citizens,” Atiku said.

The visit underscores ongoing consultations among opposition leaders as political parties intensify grassroots engagement and consolidate their structures in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
