Building Collapse in Lagos: Chaos and Fear as Residents Trapped

 

There was pandemonium among residents of Ota-Ona area in Ikorodu, Lagos State ob Tuesday when an uncompleted two-storey building suddenly collapsed, with many feared trapped beneath the debris.

The structure is said to be located directly opposite the Mobil Filling Station (formerly Bugon Filling Station).

Five victims have reportedly been rescued alive at the time of filing this report, but the exact number of those still trapped remains unknown.

Also, rescue operations are said to be ongoing, with emergency teams working to search through the debris.

As at press time, the cause of the collapse is yet to be officially determined.
